Cheers to a Lavender Whiskey Dream Cheesecake
Lavender & Honey Base
8 oz graham cracker crumbs
2 oz melted unsalted butter
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon culinary lavender
Whiskey & Chocolate Filling
24 oz Norman's Kosher Cholov Yisroel Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
1/4 cup whiskey
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Orange & Vanilla Topping
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325°F.
In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted unsalted butter, honey and culinary lavender until well combined, then press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from oven and let cool.
For the filling, in a large bowl, beat Norman's Kosher Cholov Yisroel Cream Cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add all-purpose flour, eggs, whiskey and semi-sweet chocolate chips, then mix until well combined. Pour the mixture over the cooled crust.
Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set in the center. Remove from the oven and let it cool.
For the topping, in a small bowl, mix sour cream, granulated sugar, pure vanilla extract and grated orange zest until well combined. Spread the mixture over the cooled cheesecake.
Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
Slice and serve with your favorite whiskey cocktail!
