Cheers to a Lavender Whiskey Dream Cheesecake

Lavender & Honey Base

  • 8 oz graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 oz melted unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon culinary lavender

Whiskey & Chocolate Filling

  • 24 oz Norman's Kosher Cholov Yisroel Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup whiskey
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Orange & Vanilla Topping

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange zest

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted unsalted butter, honey and culinary lavender until well combined, then press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from oven and let cool.
  3. For the filling, in a large bowl, beat Norman's Kosher Cholov Yisroel Cream Cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add all-purpose flour, eggs, whiskey and semi-sweet chocolate chips, then mix until well combined. Pour the mixture over the cooled crust.
  4. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set in the center. Remove from the oven and let it cool.
  5. For the topping, in a small bowl, mix sour cream, granulated sugar, pure vanilla extract and grated orange zest until well combined. Spread the mixture over the cooled cheesecake.
  6. Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  7. Slice and serve with your favorite whiskey cocktail!
