Apple-Pie Crust New York-Style Cheesecake with Whipped Cream Topping
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of apple pie crust mix
- 2 tbsp of sugar
- 1/2 cup of butter, melted
- 16 oz of Norman's Kosher Cholov Yisroel Cream Cheese
- 1 cup of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp of sugar
- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the apple pie crust mix, 2 tbsp of sugar and melted butter, stir until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into a 9-inch cheesecake pan. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually mix in the eggs, one at a time.
- Stir in the flour, sour cream, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared crust and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is just a bit jiggly.
- Allow the cheesecake to cool to room temperature, then chill it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- To make the whipped cream, beat the heavy whipping cream, 2 tbsp of sugar, and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form.
- Serve the cheesecake, topped with whipped cream and apple pie filling or fresh apple slices, if desired.
