Apple-Pie Crust New York-Style Cheesecake with Whipped Cream Topping

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups of apple pie crust mix
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of butter, melted

  • 16 oz of Norman's Kosher Cholov Yisroel Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract

  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the apple pie crust mix, 2 tbsp of sugar and melted butter, stir until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into a 9-inch cheesecake pan. Set aside.

  4. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  5. Gradually mix in the eggs, one at a time.
  6. Stir in the flour, sour cream, and vanilla extract.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared crust and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is just a bit jiggly.
  9. Allow the cheesecake to cool to room temperature, then chill it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

  10. To make the whipped cream, beat the heavy whipping cream, 2 tbsp of sugar, and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form.
  11. Serve the cheesecake, topped with whipped cream and apple pie filling or fresh apple slices, if desired.
