Ingredients:

  • 1 package Basbousa cake mix
  • 1 container Norman's Kosher Cholov Yisroel Cream Cheese (8 oz)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Tiramisu liqueur
  • 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare the Basbousa cake mix according to the package directions, and press it into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the Norman's Kosher Cholov Yisroel Cream Cheese and sugar together until creamy.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixing bowl, and continue to beat until everything is well incorporated.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, Tiramisu liqueur, and brewed coffee until the mixture is smooth.
  6. Pour the cheesecake filling over the Basbousa base in the springform pan, and bake it for 45-55 minutes or until set.
  7. Remove the cheesecake from the oven, and cool it to room temperature.
  8. Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 1 hour to set completely.
  9. Before serving, heat the caramel sauce and sea salt in a small saucepan until the mixture is smooth.
  10. Pour the salted caramel topping over the cheesecake, and serve.
